Juicey recipes..

Juicing has become infinitely popular in the last decade and it is no longer just for celebrities and fad-dieters! The benefits of juicing are huge; a refined form of vitamins and nutrients hits the bloodstream fast when juicing fresh fruit and/or vegetables. It saves the stomach some much needed rest and is generally quick and easy to do. I find that if you look around and buy fresh, seasonal produce you can often juice much cheaper if you ‘do it yourself’ than buying ready prepared bottle juices and smoothies (smoothies are different to juices in that they contain all of the pulp). You will also reap the benefits of instant goodness as drinking a juice straight away is the most effective way for the body to gain all of the best nutrients.

There are a variety of juicers on the market of varying price and quality, ranging from £30 to hundreds! If you are just starting out, you needn’t spend a fortune on a juicer. One of the cheaper ones will do quite nicely and produces plenty of juice! I recommend an Andrew James juicer for under £40. http://www.andrewjamesworldwide.com/Product.asp?Product=Juicer

Here are three of my favourite home-made juice recipes, all healthy and nutritious!

1 green apple
1/4 lime
1 kiwi
1/2 celery stick

1 whole red orange
Whole beetroot
1 carrot
1 red apple

A handful of fresh spinach leaves
2 green apples
1/2 lime
1/4 pineapple
Ginger to taste
